Grange Park is essentially a traditional private members' Club, and we share a certain pride in our heritage. We were founded in 1891 and are one of the oldest clubs in the area, but we hope that we are regarded as being at least a little progressive too. We currently have a total playing membership of 540 represented by a good mix of ages and abilities! We have one of the most successful Ladies' sections in the area, with over 80 members. We also have a thriving Junior section, with over 50 young golfers aged from 5 - 18.
Our Championship standard golf course is maintained to the highest standards by our Course Manager Jamie Cuthbert and his team. Their objective is always to present the best possible golf course to our members and visitors.
We welcome enquiries from prospective new members of all standards of golf - or none! Those who are new to the game can book lessons with our PGA Professional Paul Roberts, and in particular lady beginners are welcome to join our Get into Golf initiative (125 Anniversary Membership) which was launched in 2016.
We have golf membership categories available from age 5 upwards, and we also have purely social membership for those who have more interest in food, drink and entertainment than golf!
You have no doubt already played the course, and enjoyed our hospitality, and are now ready to consider applying for membership. Joining Grange Park is straightforward, and although annual subscriptions run from 1 January to 31 December new members may join at any time. The subscription due for the remaining period to 31 December is simply the appropriate amount of the full year's subscription, apportioned on a monthly basis.
Current Subscriptions
We have an instalment scheme operated by Orchard Finance, so that subscriptions can be spread over the year.
Full Membership (7 days) is available for Ladies and Gentlemen. A Joining Fee is also payable by new Male Members, but it has currently been suspended for new Lady Members.
125 Anniversary Membership is open to Ladies who are new to golf, and would appreciate group lessons with similar novices, followed by support from existing Lady Members.
We also welcome Junior golfers, with membership in 4 age bands: 5 -10, 11 - 14, 15 - 17, 18 - 20.
House Membership is ideal for those who do not want to play golf - but would like to participate in our social activities.
At present the Joining Fee for Full Lady members and Male members aged 23 and under has been suspended.
Prospective members who are not already familiar with our facilities are very welcome to contact our General Manager, Peter Bowen, who will arrange to show you round, give you a membership pack, and discuss your application.
Alternatively, you may simply wish to download an Application Form and submit it with a brief introductory letter or email. Ideally we ask that you have 2 current members to propose and second your application. However, for those who are new to golf or new to the area, we appreciate that this will not be possible, and we will discuss alternatives with you - for example, a reference from your previous golf club, or possibly commencing with a short probationary period of membership.
After your Application Form has been received you will be invited to attend a short, informal membership interview accompanied by your Proposer. This will be attended by the Captain or Ladies' Captain, the Director of Membership and Marketing and another Committee member. Membership interviews are usually held on a weekday evening, and enable you to tell us about yourself, and give you an opportunity to ask for further information about being a member.
Our General Manager, Peter Bowen, will contact you as soon as your application has been approved, and you will then receive an invoice for the current year's subscription. Once payment has been made, by you or by Orchard Finance, your membership will commence.
We look forward to meeting you!
